At snowdrop, we are particularly passionate about orphans who form the bulk of the Red cross school in Lagos Nigeria. We have adopted the Red Cross School in Lagos as one of our key projects, we aim to provide scholarships, school supplies, clothing and electronic devices for use by these wonderful children. We also aim to provide moral and financial support for the teachers and staff who are grossly underpaid due to poor funding. We have been able to raise funds towards this cause through donations from corporate organisations, friends and family of Snowdrop and bake sales. So far, we have presented a brand new printer, and a drum set amongst other items to THE Red Cross School.
We also visited the Yaba Baptist school, formerly known as Reagan Memorial Baptist School. This school has a rich history (my grandma is an alumnus) and we are utterly delighted to be able to provide much-needed support for them. They are in desperate need of a modern playground for the children and we have been able to support them with a cash donation towards the new playground.
This is their current playground which poses a safety hazard to the children.
