In a school fundraiser at Children’s International School of lagos, we were able to raise about N1.6 million through the selling of food to supportive students. Thank fully, over hundreds of people at the school supported this cause. This was a wonderful way to contribute to the community as the money was used to provide a drum set, tables and chairs to the Red Cross School. I am extremely grateful for CIS’s help to make such a substantial impact and for Red Cross for the life-changing collaboration. Thank you so much for the chance to contribute to SDG 4: Quality Education.

Despite the thrill of collecting donations and raising money, physically visiting the school and aspiring students was the best part. I met talented musicians and eager learners. The small action-no matter how small it may seem-started a chain reaction. In my mind, I wondered if this was the start of a drumming prodigy or the inspiration for someone else to contribute to the Sustainable Development goals. I believe that this goal paves the way for all of the others such as ‘Gender Equality’, ‘Zero Hunger’ and more. This is the reason why we learn about these issues and how to solve them.
